Packs ready? “Ghostbusters” turned 30 last week. The movie was released on June
8, 1984, to critical and commercial success. It starred Bill Murray, Dan
Aykroyd and Harold Ramis as three eccentric parapsychologists in New York City
who start a ghost-catching business. Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis
co-starred as a potential client and her neighbor. We have it on DVD so you can
relive the film that changed pop culture with comedy, special effects and an
irresistible theme song. Also, it was twenty-five years ago that the sequel,
“Ghostbusters 2,” premiered. It had the biggest three-day opening weekend gross
revenue in history. The record was broken one week later by “Batman.”
