September 24th is our “Titles & Tea” Book Discussion
Group, which meets at 10 AM. This month’s selection is “The Good House” by Ann
Leary, a funny, suspenseful and insightful book. The story is about a
successful middle-aged New England real estate broker, Hildy Good, who finds
herself on the cusp of a small town scandal involving her friend Rebecca, and
her upstairs renter. At the same time, Hildy’s adult daughters attempt an
intervention to force Hildy to realize her alcoholism. Tragedy and near-tragedy
bring this tale around to a satisfying conclusion.
