Our lobby
display case is featuring some Metrodome Moments in honor of the final season
of the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The one time home of the Minnesota Vikings,
Gophers and Twins, it is the only stadium to host a World Series, Super Bowl
and Final Four Tournament. Michael Jordan, Brett Favre, Mick Jagger and Billy
Graham all played the Dome. It is also where Kirby Puckett led the Twins to two
World Series (“We’ll see you tomorrow night!”). Cal Ripken Jr scored his 3,000th hit and Brett
Favre became the first quarterback in history to beat all 32 NFL teams. It isn’t
the prettiest stadium, just blue seats and concrete, but as the winds have
sucked people out after the games, the performance there have sucked us in as
well.
