Mark your calendar for Wednesday, August 29th as the Friends of the Library will be hosting local author Sara Rath at 7 PM. The author of several books, Ms. Rath will be having a reading and signing of her new novel “The Waters of Star Lake”. This novel continues her popular Northwood’s saga in an affirming and humorous tale of romance, betrayal and danger. As local author David Rhodes said about this new book, “With the patient skill of an engaging storyteller, Sara Rath brings to life the charm of northern Wisconsin. The appreciative reader is soon breathing in balsam and pine, living in a primitive cabin next to the lake, listening to loons, finding unlikely romance, encountering wolves, bears, a lively group of endearing local personalities, and searching for the legendary buried treasure of John Dillinger and his infamous gang of hoodlums.
