Second Saturday: Family Time at the Reedsburg Public Library
The Reedsburg Public Library’s Second Saturday program will help families discover the new USDA healthy eating program called “My Plate.” During this family program we will make a placemat to take home, create a rainbow of foods mural to be displayed in the Children’s Area of the Library, and have foods to try from the five areas of the “My Plate” food guide. We will highlight the dairy portion with local cheeses. The Library is thrilled to have this Family Time @ Your Library be part of the Reedsburg Fermentation Fest in the Community Room on Saturday, October 8th from 10:30-11:30am. There is no charge and no need to register.
Every second Saturday of the month the Library will also have a R.E.A.D. Dog. This unique literacy program takes place from 10:30-11:30am in the Storytime Room located in the Children’s Area of the Library. Children can choose a book from the shelves at the Library or bring one from home to read to the specially trained dogs of the Reading Education Assistance Dog program.
Call the Reedsburg Public Library at 768-READ(7323) with any questions about any upcoming events. You can also visit the library’s website at http://www.reedsburglibrary.org/
