“Remember the Alamo,” the war cry of General Sam Houston, one hundred seventy-five years ago. March 6 was the anniversary of the fall of the Texan fort that is now, San Antonio, TX. The siege, led by Mexican general Santa Ana began Feb 23 and reached its climax March 6, when the last of the defenders was slain.
