Jack Keats

Award winning author Jack Ezra Keats was born ninety-five years ago on March 11, 1916. He was the author and illustrator of more than 85 books for children. Including such classics as “Peter’s Chair, Whistle for Willie and The Snowy Day”. Keats was one of the first successful picture book illustrators to use African-American and Hispanic children as his central characters. We have many of his works in our collection of children’s books.
