We have just added Effie Leatherman’s “Midlin Times” to our local history collection. This book is a look at Nelson Slater Gardner, Civil War’s unsung hero. Not only is this a look at the life of Nelson Gardner but the Wisconsin Co. A 19th Infantry Division during the Civil War. The Division was made up of Reedsburg citizens. We have in our historic photographic collection, tintype photos of each member of the group.
