Your Library

Your library has been here for you through these tough economic times. Indeed, we’re with you in good times and in bad. As someone wrote, “We stock the "medicine" to cure what ails your soul”. Be it a lack of knowledge about a new life skill, made suddenly necessary by these trying times; or a longing for an imagined world to escape into. We understand that you may have had to cut back. That’s why we have stepped up our efforts to serve you–by adding more new items in all areas including Audio books (Playaways and CD’s), and DVDs. You’ve been responding in kind and using us in record numbers. You’re checking out more books, DVDs, and CDs than ever before; we have set new records throughout 2009. Of all the government agencies, the public library gives you the best return on a modest investment of your tax dollars. There is no limit to how much you may use your library. It gratifies us when you use us to the fullest extent. Lean on us. Use us as much as you want: You can never use us up.

Please help us this month by doing a brief survey on library services and needs for today and the future. There is a link to the online version of the survey from the library website. Paper copies of the survey are available in the library. We will share the results of the survey during National Library Week, April 11-17, 2010.
