I bet you didn’t think it was twenty years ago that the “Simpsons” premiered on the Fox network of television. December 17, 1989 is when the hottest animated family premiered as a weekly half-hour sitcom. This longest running television series in history is featured in our lobby display case. Discover people and places of Springfield, including a series of stamps by the United States Postal Services. The Simpsons is the first television series still in production to receive this recognition.
