Happy 80th Birthday to George (Bob) Newhart who was born September 5, 1929, he is best known for playing psychologist Dr. Robert Hartley, on the 1970s sitcom “The Bob Newhart Show” and as innkeeper Dick Loudon on the 1980s sitcom “Newhart”. Both shows are available on DVD here at the library as well as some of his film roles in “Elf” and “The Rescuers” Bob also has written 2006 memoir “I Shouldn’t Even Be Doing This”.
