July 10, 1943- Arthur Ashe legend for his firsts as a black tennis player. He was chosen for the US Davis Cup team in 1963 and became captain in 1980. He won the US men's singles championship and US Open in 1968 and 1975 men's singles at Wimbledon. We have his memoir at 796.3420
