A familiar face returns to Reedsburg soon as Miss Arlene Marshall will take over as head librarian on Dec 4. She will replace Al Zipsie who will begin duties as head librarian of the Portage library November 1.

Miss Marshall is the daughter of Mr and Mrs J.J. Marshall, Cazenovia. She worked at the Reedsburg Public Library from 1946 to 1952.

The new librarian received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1944 and a degree in library science from the university Library school the following year.

She came to Reedsburg from Sheboygan in 1946 and left this city to go to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she stayed until 1956, leaving to take a position with the LaCrossee Public Library.

The library board states they are very happy to have Miss Marshall back in Reedsburg as head librarian. Her many friends also look forward to her return.
