The Titles and Tea Book Discussion Group will be meeting today at 10:00am to discuss
One Summer, America, 1927 by Bill Bryson. Bryson's book recounts the events of five months in this historic year. Bryson chronicles Charles Lindbergh’s solo crossing of the Atlantic, Saco and Vanzetti’s execution, the Dempsey-Carpentier fight, Babe Ruth’s sixty home runs, and Al Capone’s crime sprees. Eccentric little known facts told in Bryson’s characteristic witty style, round out this fascinating history.
Not able to make it this morning ? We'll recap briefly at the February 23 meeting.
Copies of February's book, The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker, are available for checkout.
