Fizz Boom Read @ the Reedsburg Public Library July 7-11

The Reedsburg Public Library continues the Summer Library Program “Fizz, Boom READ!” in July.

Babygarten takes place every Monday at 10am.  All children under two, their caregivers and siblings are welcome to the Community Room for rhymes, books and free play time.

Every Monday also includes a free movie at 2pm.  Check the movie sign board in the Library for this week’s feature.

Tuesdays are all about families with Junior Lunch Bunch Storytime at Noon and Family Fun Night at 6:30pm.  Junior Lunch Bunch will be all about our five senses and families will get “Gross, Gooey, and Gloppy” at the Family Fun Night.

Wednesday starts with a Morning Storytime at 10am with a repeat of the Junior Lunch Bunch books and the Summer Signing Sessions program is at 1pm and this week will feature American Sign Language(ASL) signs about food.

Thursdays are for Elementary age children and starts with a Reading Education Assistance Dog(R.E.A.D.) in the Storytime Room from 1-2pm. A specially trained dog and owner will listen to children read which encourages the love of reading. The Discovery Program begins at 2pm and this week children will get to make things go “Zip, Zap, Zoom.”

Teen Time @ Two on Friday, July 11th  will give Teens the opportunity to build towers out of unusual building materials, be part of a Kaijudo draft card game provided by Vanguard Games and play Wii with their friends.  Teen Time is from 2-4pm on Fridays and welcomes students going into 6th-12th grades.  There is no cost and no need to register.

All of the “Fizz, Boom, Read” events are free.  Visit the Reedsburg Public Library’s website to discover all of this summer’s activities at reedsburglibrary.org or call 768-READ(7323) for more information.
