Hawaii Five-0

“Book’em Dano!” became a national catchphrase after “Hawaii Five-O” premiered on CBS forty-five years ago on September 26, 1968. It starred the granite-jawed Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett, leader of a special Hawaiian state police force that answered only to the governor. His officers included Dano, Chin Ho Kelly, Duke and others. Filmed on location with a popular theme song it was a huge hit until it concluded in 1980.
