Did you know that the former library building closed fifteen years ago on January 10, 1998? That was also the day that approximately 225 volunteers braved a sub-zero wind chill factor to transfer books from the old library to the new building. The library closed that Saturday at 4 p.m. and the City of Reedsburg went without a library for two weeks as the new library was being completed. You can remember Reedsburg’s Carnegie Library, which opened in 1912, on our local history web page, which contains the history and images of this important landmark.
