Nixon 100

President Nixon opened his memoirs with a simple sentence: “I was born in a house my father built.”  January 9, 1913, Richard Milhous Nixon was born one hundred years ago in that little Yorba Linda, California house. Today you can still imagine a young boy sitting by the window of the attic he shared with his three brothers, looking out to a world he could then himself only imagine. Nixon authored ten books during his post-presidency. We have unique books about Nixon’s life and his times including “Richard Nixon: A Life in Full” by Conrad Black, “Nixon and Kissinger: Partners in Power” by Robert Dallek and Egil Krough’s “The Day Elvis Met Nixon”. No matter your viewpoint of President Nixon, learn more about him in our lobby display, which includes a birdhouse replica of his birthplace.
