Last week Sherman Hemsley, the man who brought George Jefferson to vivid life, died at the age of 74. The accomplished actor on the sitcom “Amen” is best known for his years on “The Jefferson’s”, which we have in our DVD collection. His role of George Jefferson, the entrepreneur pillar of the Upper East Side in the big apartment in the sky will be remembered.
