On July 4th we celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence with picnics, parades and fireworks. But did you know Reedsburg celebrated its first celebration on July 4, 1849. The account from Merton Krug’s “History of Reedsburg and the Upper Baraboo Valley” is featured on our web page this week. Remember the library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th. Our book drop on the Locust Street side of the building will be open and LINKcat will be available to place holds on items, check what is available or look at your account. Our regular summer hours will resume on Thursday, July 5th.
