Hank Aaron
One of the greatest living baseball players, Hank Henry Aaron was born February 5, 1934 and is the author of three books including “I Had a Hammer”, his 1991 autobiography. It tells the story, of a major league player with his roots in the Negro League, how he helped to integrate the South Atlantic League and his years in Milwaukee, where he moved from a city that loved him to Atlanta where he was showed little affection. Aaron finished the final season of his fabulous career with the Milwaukee Brewers. “The Man Who Made Milwaukee Famous” by Brewer teammate Don Money is more or less a diary of this first season back in Milwaukee in 1975. It is told through the eyes, ears and feelings of the author as he puts the reader in the locker room and on the road with one of the all time greats.
