Happy 65th Birthday to Anna Marie “Patty” Duke. She is famous as a child star, and for winning an Academy Award at the age 16. She was born December 14, 1946. She is best known for playing Helen Keller in the 1962 film “Miracle Worker” (which is available on DVD) and for the sitcom “The Patty Duke Show” (which is also available on DVD). She is the author of two books in our collection “Call Me Anna” and “Brilliant Madness-Living with Manic Depressive Illness”. Patty Duke was ranked #40 in 1996 as TV Guide’s 50 greatest TV Stars of all time.
