The Reedsburg Public Library is having a "Carnival of Countries" on Thursday, August 18th from 6-8pm. The carnival is a free annual family event that celebrates the end of the Summer Library Program. This year's theme was One World, Many Stories so the Library will have stations throughout the Library where families can learn about customs, food, language and activities from around the world. One of the stops at the carnival will be to read to a R.E.A.D. Dog. Reading Education Assistance Dog(R.E.A.D.) is a national literacy program where children read to a specially trained dog. The R.E.A.D. Dog program has been a huge success this summer at the Reedsburg Public Library and the Library is thrilled to have it be part of this year's carnival. Please visit the Reedsburg Public Library's web page for more information about all upcoming events: http://www.reedsburglibrary.org/ or call 768-READ(7323).
