Sherwood Schwartz

Last week, the man who created “Gilligan’s Island” and “The Brady Bunch”, two of the most affectionately ridiculed and enduring television sitcoms of the 1960s and 70s died. Sherwood Schwartz was 94. Both of the the shows have not left television since they first premiered. Their theme songs are part of Americana. They both had hit reunion movies, cartoon series and hits on Broadway. He has written “Inside Gilligan’s Island” a three hour tour through the making of a television series and the 2010 “Brady Brady Brady” the complete story of the Brady Bunch. We have both books available in our collection as well as the complete series of both shows in our DVD collection. Sherwood Schwartz brought laughter and comfort to generations; he will be on our televisions forever.
