Memphis

Well last week the eyes of the nation were on Memphis, Tennessee as the Mississippi flood makes history destroying the mid-south and delta on the way to the gulf. Memphis is known nationally for many things, from being the home of Elvis Presley, the King of Rock n’ Roll. It is the birthplace of the blues on Beale Street, the home of some of the world’s best barbeque and the central location for some of the world’s most renowned businesses. It has a soul like no other city in America’s Mid-South. We have some books that will help you experience Memphis from the mighty Mississippi to Beale Street and beyond. “Memphis Then and Now” takes you on a tour with amazing then and now photographs of the city. If you enjoy shadowy spirits tales try our new book “Haunted Memphis” by Laura Cunningham is filled with fright, history and ghostly legends. You can also pay homage to their music heritage of blues, soul and rock we have music and books about Stax Records and Sun Records.
