The King's Speech

Were you one of the many moviegoers enchanted by the Oscar winning movie, “The King’s Speech”? Were you wondering how accurate the movie was? Here’s your chance to find out the rest of the story. Check out the book! It is apparently a biography of Lionel Logue as well as King George VI, because it devotes a great many pages to Logue's work with King George VI. Lionel Logue was a vocal coach to King George who helped create modern speech therapy. The authors, Mark Logue (Lionel’s grandson) and Peter Conradi utilized the private diaries kept by Logue to present a detailed, insider's view of the special relationship Logue enjoyed with the King. Copies of this book are available in our online catalog, LINKcat.
