Marguerite Henry was born April 13, 1902 in Milwaukee
Henry received the Newbery Medal in 1949 for her book "The King of the Wind". She is also authored "Misty of Chincoteague","Brighty of Grand Canyon" and other books about horses. Henry died at Rancho Santa Fe, CA in 1997.
We have many of her classic books in our childrens collection.
