Wisconsin State Capital

Images of our state Capital have splashed across the country lately. The history of the building and the fires that destroyed its predecessors are included in some of our books. Discover the history and take a tour with the 1991 book “Wisconsin State Capital guide and history” or Stuart Levitan’s illustrated sesquicentennial history “Madison”. Did you know that the capital is 284 feet, 5 inches tall from the ground floor to the top of the statue on the dome, making the building three feet shorter than the nation’s capital in Washington DC.
