Dec 25, 1776: One of the most famous events of the American Revolution happened on a bleak Christmas night, during driving snow. General George Washington led 2,400 men across the Delaware River at McConkey's Ferry, Bucks County, PA to conduct a surprise attack on Hessian troops at Trenton, NJ.
