Elvis & Nixon Meeting- 40 yrs ago

Forty years ago on December 21, 1970 Elvis Presley paid a visit to President Richard Nixon at the White House. The meeting was initiated by Presley to become a Federal Agent at large; Egil Krogh, a White House staffer, remembers this historic meeting in his book “The day Elvis met Nixon”. The events leading up to and after the meeting are detailed with photographs including Presley’s handwritten letter and thank you notes from Nixon for the gifts. The photos made from this meeting are most requested item from the National Archives. That includes request for the Bill of Rights or even the Constitution.
