Key Ingredients

Key Ingredients
We are one of the community partners with the Wormfarm Institute in the celebration of the Smithsonian Key Ingredients Exhibit. This Smithsonian exhibit highlights the intersection of American culture and American food. Best-selling Wisconsin author Michael Perry will kick-off the exhibit with a presentation of “Beer Tents, Kidney Stones and Sneezing Cows” at the CAL Center on Saturday, October 23 @ 7 PM. Michael is known for the heartfelt and humorous manner in which he brings his books and writing to life. His presentation covers everything from existentialism to volunteer firefighting, and he is likely to squeeze in at least one cow joke. Perry is a humorist and the bestselling author of the memoirs “Population 485”, “Truck: A Love Story” and “Coop”. Perry lives in rural Wisconsin with his wife and daughters and sometimes a few pigs. Tickets to this event are free and they can be picked up at the library or at the Chamber office. Make your plans early and pick up your tickets. This promises to be a popular and wonderful program. Donations will be accepted at the door.
