Nixon and Kennedy

The first televised Presidential debate was from WBBM-TV in Chicago on September 26, 1960. Since Richard Nixon and John Kennedy first battled on air in 1960, the presidential debates have become an integral part of the campaign. The rivalry between the two is featured in Christopher Matthews book “Kennedy & Nixon” the rivalry that shaped postwar America. This is the 50th year since Campaign 1960 you can follow the Kennedy team daily on twitter.com/kennedy1960. Experience the day-to-day workings of JFK’s road to the White House. This site will give you links to images and remarks made on each hour of each day of the campaign.
