The Minnesota Twins opened their franchise’s sixth ballpark since its start as the Washington Senators. The new Target Field brings baseball back to the Minnesota outdoors since the days of Metropolitan Stadium. The stadium was located in Bloomington now the site of Mall of America; even home plate is still located in the middle of a theme park. We have a new book “Twins at the Met” which is packed with fond recollections and candid comments from those who were there. This book captures the rich and colorful history of Minnesota Twins who are celebrating their 50th season this year.
