MP3 CDs

We are starting to get more audio books in a fourth format. Along with the regular books on cassette and CD and MP3 players, (Playaways), we now have audio books on MP3 CDs. The biggest difference is the number of CDs needed for each audio book. The MP3 format compresses the audio file at a higher rate, allowing a larger file to be placed onto a CD, which means fewer CDs per title. In addition, MP3 CDs can only be played on an MP3-compatible CD player or on any computer with the appropriate software.
