Teen Read Week: The teen years are a time when many kids reject reading as being just another dreary assignment. Next week is a time to encourage young adults to read for sheer pleasure as well as learning. Also to remind parents, teachers and others that reading for fun is important for teens as well as young children to increase awareness of the resources available at libraries. This year’s national theme is “Read Beyond Reality @ your library”. Watch for special programs and contests at your library.
