90th Anniversary- Green Bay Packers

Did you know that August 11th marked the 90th anniversary of the Green Bay Packers? A group of husky young athletes were called together by Curly Lambeau and George Calhoun on August 11, 1919. They gathered in the editorial room of the old Green Bay Press-Gazette building and organized a football team. Lambeau and Calhoun struck the initial spark a few weeks before, during a casual street corner conversation. As the football season is starting now with training camps, stop by and remember the years before Starr and Favre as we are celebrating nine decades, 12 world championships and generations of history.
