The Reedsburg Public Library's Stitching Club, Needles & Hooks, will be celebrating recycling with a crocheted bag pattern from Katie Schofield. Katie was a 2008 artist in residence with at The Wormfarm Institute and presented her recycled art creations at the Woolen Mill Gallery in October.
Her "One Man's Trash" pattern will be available at the Needles & Hooks Stitching Club on Monday, December 1 from 3-4:30pm. The large shopping bag requires about 50 plastic grocery bags and an I size crochet hook.
The Library's Stitching Club meets every Monday, from 3:00-4:30pm for camaraderie, fun and stitching in the Library's Community Room. This club is for crafters of all ages and skill levels. The group is accepting donations of yarn and plastic grocery bags from the community. Call the Reedsburg Public Library at 768-READ(7323) with any questions.
