Herm Schneidman, who was the oldest living Green Bay Packer at age 95 and played on a pair of NFL championship teams, died Tuesday in Quincy, Ill., his longtime home. Schneidman was a blocking back, the forerunner to a fullback, and spent five seasons with the Packers (1935-’39) and was part of Green Bay’s NFL title teams in 1936 and 1939. At 5-11 and 200 pounds, Schneidman also played receiver, linebacker and defensive back.
Schneidman wore No. 4 during his first three seasons in Green Bay, a jersey later made famous by quarterback Brett Favre.
